    composed of 100% pure pharmaceutical grade beeswax,

    coat.
    Encaustic
    medium also acts as a binding medium for collages and altered art effects. You
    can use it (when melted) as a binder for pigments or as a medium you can mix
    with oil colors that adds transparency and when dried hard film.
    This highly versatile
    medium can be polished to a high gloss, carved, scraped, layered, collaged,
    dipped, cast, modeled, sculpted, textured and combined with oil.
